To end the Red Gold programme, we hosted a series of talks and workshops with MAHAL ART SPACE, our first public programme in Morocco. In addition to the artists of the exhibition being present and hosting workshops - including Sabrina Mumtaz Hassan's always popular making and critiquing bio-plastics and leathers workshop - we also invited Hannah Hollweck to co-host an anthotype photography workshop, where participants got to make prints using algae, tumeric and the sun. Imane Zoubai delivered a talk to contextualise the practice of listening to, as well as creating with, organic matter, and biologist DR Oumaima Harkousse (of Larache Surf Association) delivered a workshop to make microplastic catchers (using the method of feminist and decolonial science group CLEAR collective) on the cost of Assilah(in partnership with Contemporary Art Centre).
