For Part 2 of Ard, L'Blend hosted a field research trip in and around the Souss-Massa region of Morocco with Tznit (the hometown of L'Blend) as our base.
Aimane Idhajji and Younes Idihoum of L'Blend, along with Rachid Ouadelli, lead us to consider Ard from a range of site specific vantage points; Sufism, which prevent in the region, the unique urban oasis in Tznit, innovative and sustainable agricultural experiments with parasites aiming to save the threatened Hendiya (cactus fruit) as well as innovative technologies like fog harvesting in the mountains.
Ard was an exchange project from Sept 22 - Dec 23 between Esmat Publishing (Egypt) L'Blend (Morocco), and A.MAL to explore the meaning of land across three geographical territories, share skills and knowledge, and build international networks.
